Toilet paper is an essential item in the bathroom. When toilet paper runs out, you know for sure that you are screwed! So in order to avoid this, it is important that you have enough supply of toilet paper in the bathroom and a trusted toilet paper holder to hang it with. If your bathroom doesn’t have any toilet paper holder yet then this article will teach you how you can install one with these simple steps. So gather all your materials and let’s get it started!

Installing a toilet paper holder is simple as there are many ready to install holders that you can buy in hardware stores. All you need to do is to find a good spot where you want your holder to be installed. If your bathroom wall is hard to penetrate with a simple screw then you might need to use a power drill (just in case) but if you think you can handle it then go ahead and follow these steps.

Easy Steps:

First of all decide on where you want to place the toilet paper holder. It should be in a spot that you can easily reach or get access to of course. Once you have chosen a good spot, see if there are studs in the wall where you want to place your holder. If there are no studs, use a hollow wall fastener so you can attach the holder on the wall. These are also great options if you cannot use a stud as an anchor for your toilet holder.

Once you have the fasteners or studs, you can place the toilet paper holder on the spot that you want. With the use of a pencil, mark the areas where you would like the screws to be. A tape measure will help you get the length if in case you want the holder to be in the center. Make sure to check your marks to ensure the level of the holder. This way your holder is straight once it’s been installed.

With the use of a power drill, make a hole that is appropriate for the sized holes. These are for the holder’s screws. This will also help hold the hollow wall fasteners. After drilling install the hollow wall fasteners (if needed) or screws. Tighten the screws of the toilet paper holder to the wall. Do the same if you are using fasteners. Make sure that the holder is secured tightly but not too tight that you might have to strip them out. Once you are done, you can then insert your toilet paper and you are ready to go!

Installing a toilet paper holder is easy. You don’t need to hire a carpenter or anyone to do that. All you need to do is follow the instructions given. If you still doubt your abilities, you can always watch video tutorials before you do it. This way you can definitely see how it is actually done. Of course, don’t forget to use your protective gear. Doing so can prevent you from accidents. Good luck!
